Where to Find and Install the Original Database for Championship Manager 01 02
To complicate matters there are injuries, transfers, money matters, player contracts, demanding chairmen, demanding fans, demanding players and their evil agents, the media poking their noses in, the FA and of course other managers, like Sir Alex, tapping up your best players. If you need to know any more about the nuts and bolts, we'd suggest you check out the review of CM 00/01 (or even the original Championship Manager 3 release) - after all, this is essentially the same game with a few add-ons.
I have downloaded/installed mono & gecko. Now the game starts up but when I click anything on the start screen the screen flashes to black with just championship manager in text in the top right hand corner in a blue box.

The release of Championship Manager '93 one year later built on the original game, ported to the C programming language, adding a real life player database and other features. By now Championship Manager had built a large following in the UK. This was reviewed many times around July 1993 from its release in around May 1993.
The success of Championship Manager '93 spurred the release of two update disks, the first "contains every transfer, promotion, relegation and manager changes" for the beginning of the '93/'94 season which is known as "The 1993/94 Season Data Up-Date Disk". The update required the original Championship Manager '93 disks, three blank disks and the Championship Manager '93/'94 Season Data Up-Date Disk disk. This was released around September 1993.
At the same time it marked the beginning of a new generation of Championship Manger games which introduced many features still seen today in football management simulators. After a less than encouraging start with their original releases, Sports Interactive rose to prominence with (which was released in 1995). Season 97/98 built upon that success and featured nine world leagues. For the first time more than one league could be played concurrently, giving players an option to try their hand at managing in a different country during their simulated managerial career. The game was immensely popular. It was a football simulator that struck the perfect balance between realism, accessibility and fun.
Please note that if you wish to use any of the updates supplied by www.champman0102.co.uk, you will need to download this patch. Any existing savegames you had with the original database will not work with this patch.
Not everyone ended up being happy. After more than four years of ever-increasing size and popularity, a schism formed in the Update Team. "Some of the members began to have differences in terms of assigning attributes and values to the players in the database," Henderson says. "Some agreed, some didn't." So they split in two, with the disruptors known as the SIM team - on account of their focus on stringent accuracy - and the other team called ODB - representing the "original database" style used by developers Sports Interactive.
The reunited Update Team now stands at a healthy 22 members, divided into five Board members (they're in charge), nine Coaches (they update the database), and eight Scouts (they suggest attribute values and other changes). Official Update Team releases routinely receive more than 30,000 downloads - the precise numbers and trends are hard to gauge because the statistics were reset during a server change last year - while the more experimental unofficial back-dated historical databases of 80s and 90s leagues draw significant love and attention from the regulars.

After logging in, you will see additional links under "My Account" for activities including viewing and updating your account information, submitting DUAs online, checking the status of data purchase applications, downloading your purchased nationwide databases, and submitting data re-use requests for State-level databases in your custody.
Under the terms of the DUA, the data purchaser remains responsible for the security and use of the HCUP data unless and until custody of the data officially is transferred to another individual. This and other Responsibilities of the Data Purchaser (PDF file, 33 KB) are acknowledged during database purchase. To transfer custody of HCUP databases, the original data purchaser must agree to relinquish his or her rights to the data and the new data custodian must complete the HCUP DUA Training course; read, sign, and submit the appropriate HCUP DUA; and agree to take full responsibility of the HCUP databases as described in the DUA. To request a transfer of custody, contact the HCUP Central Distributor.
No. The account holder takes full responsibility for complying with all terms of the Data Use Agreement and the Responsibilities of the Data Purchaser (PDF file, 33 KB). HCUP data may only be delivered to (i.e., shipped to or downloaded by) the individual who places the order through his or her account. Consequently, the account holder cannot order databases for, or authorize their delivery to, someone else. Refer to Can I set up an account and order databases on someone else's behalf? for more information.
Complete applications for HCUP nationwide databases (NIS, KID, NASS, NEDS, and NRD) and related supplemental files are ready for payment. Nationwide files are delivered via digital download only. They can be downloaded through the online HCUP Central Distributor after your payment is processed and you are notified that your products have been activated for download. You will receive detailed instructions via email. Please be aware that download links are active for only 7 days.

Tried following the descriptions and even a video tutorial on the ChampMan site but one of the database files gives a trojan horse warning when I try to download it and when I try the original database it doesn't work anyway. Wasted a few hours trying to get this done too. Pish.
The goal of the current effort is to develop a harmonized and well-curated (in terms of the specific chemicals and media in which they were monitored) database of chemical monitoring data to support predictive modelling efforts and efficient exposure assessments. This manuscript describes the collection and curation of a large amount of publicly available chemical monitoring data from various sources. The scope of the current effort includes data and reports made publicly available on the web by government agencies, academic groups, or others. A de novo search of the open literature was not performed here and is the focus of ongoing work. The general approach used in this study was to download (either manually or using standard scripting methods) individual data records and to compile them into a database containing both the raw data (i.e., stored using the original variable names from the individual sources) and a harmonized version. In the harmonized version the raw data were curated and assigned new standard variable names. The harmonized variables include, for example, information that describes the chemicals monitored; the media (i.e., the type of biological or environmental sample) in which chemicals were measured; temporal and geographic information; and analytical results including any reported concentrations, instrumentation information, detection/quantification limits, or quality assurance (QA) data.
Data were collected from these data sources in three data collection phases (dictated by EPA funding cycles and generally occurring during the years 2017, 2018, and 2019). Some sources were simply updated in the 2018 and 2019 cycles and while some sources were newly added. Both automated and manual processes were used to curate unique data sources into the format of the multimedia monitoring database. Each data source was unique in format. Where necessary, data were obtained from the original sources using R or Python scripts. Biomonitoring data for the IPCHEM data source were provided directly by the IPCHEM team in CSV format. For data sources in PDF form, a combination of manual extraction and automated extraction was used to generate the dataset (method varied depending on source; all methods and scripts were retained). In sources that had tables that could be directly exported, the data were saved and manually reformatted to CSV format. Detailed descriptions of the source data, including the number of records and location/availability of metadata, the original form of raw data, type of data extraction (e.g., manual or script) and phase(s) of data collection are provided in Supplementary Table S1.
The monitoring data compiled and harmonized here are stored in a MySQL relational database maintained by the USEPA and available via Figshare6. An export of the MySQL database is archived; this file contains a set of SQL statements that can be executed to reproduce the original database object definitions and all table data. Users may install MySQL and download the file from Figshare for manipulation and data extraction. Addition of new data, updating of harmonized variables from raw variables, and updates to the underlying monitoring dataset are ongoing. Versioned updates of the database will be provided as available, e.g., as more raw chemical identifiers in the raw data are curated or as reported concentration data are curated to standard formats and units. Details presented below represent data records archived in the MySQL database V1.0.
